Teacher Performance Assessment
The teacher performance assessment is meant to help a student to evaluate some of the first lessons performed in an actual classroom setting. The following four tasks were a type of guideline to help me to evaluate myself.
View the 'Planning Instruction and Assessment' task. Here I address the students and their learning supports, what the students are learning in the content area, and the way that language should be used to best support learning.
View the 'Instructing and Engaging Students in Learning' task. Here I address the strategies I planned to use in order to best engage the students, how I built student understanding of the content, and how I monitored student understanding during instruction.
View the 'Assessing Student Learning" task. Here I address the variation in student learning based on performance, how my feedback addressed students learning needs, and an analysis of the work and data that may lead to next steps and directions.
View the 'Analyzing Teaching" task. Here I describe what I might do differently if I were to teach the segment again, based on what I now know about my students.
